| Bio: | I am another lj refugee. I was a member there since 2004, but due to the censorship over there, I have moved here. I will be updating this more as I have time and space. Hope you enjoy reading my stuff and if not...well don't read it silly. Of Note: If you friend me, I will friend you back. If you haven't seen me, that's because I'm a horrible lurker. Feel free to browse around though as most of my posts are public and see if you'd like to friend me back. AND NOW THE BIO: I hate writing bios. There is always so much I could say. I guess its good to start off with what this journal's purpose it. It is here as a place to publicly post my writings both fictional and in real life. This will include personal info, thoughts, reflections, rants, poems, short stories, novels, and whatever else I want. I love that people are interested in reading my works. I love comments, thoughts, and opinions too. However this journal is first and foremost for my own use and for my records of how I was feeling, what I had written at the time period, what events were going on, ect. Sometimes I'll post a ton and sometimes I'll post nothing. I will try to consider the f-list but if there are tons of posts, well I'm sorry. I'll try to cut in these cases. I'm highly opinionated d and lots of my opinions are considered "Deviant from the norm", if this bothers you don't read my journal. Sometimes I will post adult themes and content. For the most part if the writing involves some pornographic element I will post and warning and if you don't want to read it then, don't. If I'm talking about sexuality, sexual preference, rape, or other topics not in a fictional sense, I may not post a warning on it. So real life updates and thoughts on the real world may involve all sorts of elements you are uncomfortable with, if this is the case please don't read my real life updates as I am not always sure what I'll write about and I'm not interested in back tracking with warnings for everyone. I thing this journal is probably plenty appropriate for children 14 and up. Of course, I don't think sexuality, swears, and alternative lifestyles are things to keep hidden from youth, but things they should be able to discuss and explore. Especially if their choice mode to learn and express this is something as harmless as writing. If you as a parent or an adult person don't think that you or your children are old enought to veiw this material, then please censor it accordingly. Alright on to a bit about me. I'm a generally upbeat person filled with lots of energy. I love reading things that are lighter and funny, but my views on life in general are often more dark and cynical. I do struggle with depression. I do have several anxiety disorders. I am aware that both these issues color not only my view on life but how I show that too, and I do my best to try to maintain grounded. Sometimes this is through ranting at myself and sometimes its through writing overly objectively and sometimes its all about refocusing. Any way you slice it though there are shades of insanity in the journal (which is amusing because I am at ij. I do write a lot of fiction and some fan fiction and I love when people comment on it. I promise to comment on yours if you comment on mine, though be warned that I'm honest about what I think and why I think that. If you're sensitive to critique, you probably should tell me before I comment. I'm not sensitive about any criticism you give me, so long as if it is negative you can explain why and point to direct examples. I will ALWAYS do that in a review when I say something negative. To find my writing in my journal try the tags. I've got poems, short stories, essays, spiritual, and Escape Artist (which is the title of a novel I'm working on). My main interests include discussing religion, reading, writing, keeping up with differing women's issues, keeping up with dominionism, creating, finding, and being part of positive and intellectual communities. I love DDR, quite a bit (which is a random interjection but worth saying anyway). I also love to read (you might call it a passion), most of the stuff is fantasy or manga, but I also read a wide range of other materials. As far as fantasy goes I have a few favorite authors they include Piers Anthony, Terry Pratchet, Anne Rice, Tamora Pierce (though she is far too young for me now and she always has a least one book in every series that just sucks), Anne McKathry, Kristin Britan (actually while The Green Rider is awesome, her sequel The First Rider, blows monkey balls),J.K Rowling, Annette Curtis Klauss (wish she wrote more), Amelia Atwater-Rhodes (what she's written more recently isn't good),Celia Ress, L. J. Smith, and Tanith Lee. Other random authors I like include Dorathy Gilman, Emily Dickenson, Robert Frost, Langston Hughs, Charolette Bronte, Nathaniel Hawthrone, Robery Bly, John Berryman, Allan Ginsberg, Billy Collins, Rita Dove, Robert Creeley, Marvin Bell, John Steinbeck, Lord Bryon, Sephen Dunn (particularly his poem entitled "Hard Work"), Pilip Levine, William Shakespeare (fun to debate some of the tragics but my real passion is in the comedies), and Douglas Adams (yes there is a ton more, and I do a lot of one story reads too). Books I like but can't remember the Author or haven't read anything else by that person include: The Phantom Toll Booth, The Giver, The Devil's Arithmetic, The Giving Tree, Hey Nostradamus!, Lord of the Flies, "Dear Michael, Love Pam" by Michael Lohre, "Nigh Waitress" by Lynda Hull, "A Visit of Charity" by Eudora Welty, Atlas Shrugged, and "Death of a Salesman". As far as manga goes some series I like are Mars, Inuyasha, Magic Knights of Raeyth (the 1st and 2nd series), Wish, Boys Over Flowers, Angelic Layer, Full Metal Panic, Angel Sanctuary, Chobits, Cresent Moon, Fushi-Yugi, Dragon Knights, XXX Holic, Naruto, Angelic Layer, Alice 19th and Saint Tail. As far as Japanese anime goes I also like a few of the tv animes. There's Escaflowne (all time favorite tv series ever...good movie too), Spirited Away, Princess Monoke,Kik's Delivery Service, Wolf's Rain, Card Captors (both shows), Digemon (1st two shows only), Hellsing, Someday's Dreamers, Samurai Champloo, Golden Boy, Gundum Wing, Pokemon (the orginial was cute), Air Bender, One Piece, Dragon Ball (original was cute), Dragon Ball Z (just silly), Boys Over Flowers (not as good as the manga), Sailor Moon (come on who doesn't like this one?) Cowboy Beebop, and Yu-Gi-oh!(both shows). If you like anime or manga I would suggest going to www.gaiaonline.com. TV shows I like include Buffy, Angel, Roswell (to a point), 24, Closer, House, and Heroes. As far as religions go I'm spiritual Eclectic Pagan with Reiki influences and I also practice reiki. More details are in the journal if you look under "spiritual" for a tag. Lets see what else is there that you might want to know about me.... my music tastes are across the boards, though I'm not a big fan of most rap, hip-hop, or country. My primary favorite kinds of songs are rock, techno, and some folk. Oh and for anyone who cares PROFANATION by Bernstien ROCKS MY SOCKS!!!! I'm, currently in college and am a major in English with a focus on writing. I don't like college and even though I love reading, learning and writing, college has not been the most successful venture I've taken on. But we all need the degree or a degree of sorts, and you know while I might not have learned much from classes, I'm better read and I've learned and grown a lot just from being someplace different.
