I altered the format of my ij today and now my newest posts aren't at the top of my journal page. My post from Sept 21 is and then all my posts to Sept 11 are posted then below that on is my latest post- my post on Sept 22. I have no idea why this is happening, does anyone else know why?

EDIT: HAVE FIGURED OUT THIS PROBLEM, IT WAS ABOUT THE ENTRY ON THE 22nd. NOW RESOLVED

Another question, how do I post my tags? I'd like to have my tags available to clip on at the side bar of my journal and I don't know how to do this. I'd also like to have my tags in my profile, but again I don't know how put my tags up there. Anyone know where some good basic instructions are?

EDIT 9/27/07 HAVE LOOKED THOUGH ALL THE LAYOUTS THE ONE LABELED "BLOGGISH" IS THE ONLY ONE WHICH ALLOWS FOR TAGS TO BE SHOWN, WHICH IS TOO BAD BECAUSE I REALLY WAS ENJOYING MY HAVEN FONT. THANKS TO ELFWRECK THOUGH FOR SOME OF THE INFO.

So all the backdating from my orignial journel is done...sans le comments.  Some quizs carried and others didn't.  Also, as promised I have unfriended and unprivated a lot of the messages in the old lj....erm I mean ij.  Some of the titles have been changed to make it easier to understand what the entries are about.  A lot of the old material has been tagged.  This is for friends and my convience really. 

It's good for me because a lot of time I want to look back on memories of an old flame and have trouble finding them,  now it will be easy. 

I'm still in the process of adding my essays, short stories, poems, and what not into this account.  That's going pretty well.  I'm sure a lot of people are curious as to why I'm doing that.  There are a couple reasons. 

1. I'd like to have everything in one place. 
2. I'd like to be able to know that I have a backup somewhere out there even if it is on teh interenet. 
3. Some of the work before now was never even entered into a computer and I was afraid I would lose it or forget it.  
4. I'd love fore people to be able to go back and look at it and review it or just enjoy it if they ever want to or if they are bored or if they ever have the time. 
5. Having all my work online helps to show me how far as a writer I've come and how far I have to go. 
6. It gives me humility and looking at things and being like....wow at one point in time I just didn't get it.  
7. I kind of think the idea of having one comprehensive portfolio of everything I've written is really cool.  

Alright, so that brings us to coding.  A lot of the coding is in tags like if it is a poem it is tagged as a poem or what not.  However, in newer stuff and in a lot of the stuff I've been adding in there will be a code in the title too.  The code list is as follows:

Big thanks to Zan for helping me backup the journal.  And with that' I think I got all the news fit to print.

Reminders to self...

1. I didn't backdate all those random quizs will have to go to lj if I want to see them...which I never have wanted to review them before so I should be good. 

2. Haven't posted all the comments from there here with the entries.  A lot of work for comments that won't necissarily mean anything to me later when I'm looking at my memories.  A lot of them are here, but not all of them.

3. I've added titles and tags to some of the entries...not entirely as they once were.  

4.  I've gotten to the June 2005 posts.  Slow but steady progress.  Actually because I think I have a lot more posts in the 04 and 05's and because I"m not posting quizs I might be half way....if I'm lucky. 

5. Hadn't realized how relationship oriented I was until now. 

6. Hadn't realized what good faithful friend I have. Must be sure to treat them better in the future.  

7. Must not lose momentum.  Must continue to move lj and go on to the large project of backdating all my other works with tags and codes because it will so be worth it.  Looking at the beginnings of it now and it is already starting to look worth it and its all in the early phases.
